Yesterday was one of those days that fills your heart to the brim—a perfect blend of hard work, joy, and a little bit of hilarious chaos. Our mission for the day was to distribute 75 water filters to families in need, providing them with clean, safe drinking water while sharing the life-changing message of the Gospel. And let me tell you, God showed up – in “udderly” surprising ways – more on that later.

We started the day early, loading up the truck with water filters and heading into the community. Each filter we distributed wasn’t just a tool for clean water—it was an open door to build relationships, pray with families, and share the hope of Jesus.

One of the most beautiful moments was seeing the gratitude in people’s eyes as they realized their children would no longer suffer from waterborne illnesses. Clean water is a basic necessity many of us take for granted and for these families, it is a tangible sign of God’s love.

After the distributions, we prepared for baptisms of nine people who were ready to publicly declare their faith! But first, we needed to fill the baptistery. A task I have learned is actually much more complicated than it sounds.

Our first plan was to use a tractor to pull a water tank but that fell through when the tractor was stuck in the mud. We were able to locate a second tractor and water tank, only to learn this one had flat tires. We then shifted our plans to a third tractor, but to our dismay this one was over 35 miles away.

At this point, it was clear—this was spiritual warfare. The enemy did not want this baptism happening. But we know God and he always makes a way. After some frantic phone calls, determined teamwork, and probably a few desperate prayers, we finally got the water we needed. And as those new believers went under the water and came up as new creations, all of our thwarted plans and struggles were “moot” because God has already won!

The baptisms were electric—full of singing, cheering, and pure joy. Heaven was celebrating, and so were we. There’s nothing like seeing someone step into the freedom of Christ, and after the water-tank fiasco, it felt like an even greater victory.

While we were busy with baptisms and water tank crises, we noticed a group of dedicated ladies hard at work next door at the pastor’s house repairing the floors and walls. Their secret ingredient? A special mixture of water and…cow poop.

Yes, you read that right. Apparently, this is a traditional (and effective) method for sealing and strengthening mud floors and walls. Let’s just say it added a unique aroma to the day’s events.

At one point, one of our team members walked by, took a deep breath, and immediately regretted it. The ladies just laughed and kept working—a reminder that while ministry is rarely gla-moo-rous but it can be a-moosing.

By the end of the day, we were exhausted but overflowing with gratitude. Seventy-five families now have clean water. Nine souls were welcomed into God’s family. And thanks to the cow-poop crew, the pastor’s house is a little sturdier (albeit smellier).

Oh, and let’s not forget the Great Water Tank Debacle of 2025—a reminder that when God is moo-ving, the enemy will try to throw obstacles in the way. But no flat tire, stuck tractor, or long-distance water run can stop what God has planned.

Days like this remind us why we do what we do—not for recognition, but because every filter, every prayer, every baptism, and yes, even every cow-poop-plastered wall, is part of God’s greater story of redemption.
