After breakfast, our team gathered to kick off the day with praise and worship. There’s nothing quite like lifting our voices in song before heading into the mission field. My father, Tom, who serves as the Chief Finance Officer for TFP, brought an encouraging word to the team on stewardship and servitude – reminding us that leadership in the Kingdom looks like towel-bearing, not title-chasing.
We then joined our missionary teams for follow-up visits where we met with families who had previously received filters. The Gospel is shared during filter distributions but each follow up visit gives our missionary teams an opportunity to connect with individual families. Each visit is a reminder that the Gospel is not a one-time message but its a relationship.

Later that day, my father and I met with the government leadership of the Matisi Ward, the next campaign area slated to begin in March 2026. We’re currently completing work in Sirende Ward, and Matisi will be the next major effort to bring clean water and the Gospel to more homes. To document the area and build local trust, we took drone footage and photos—with the local chief personally escorting us to ensure safe passage through the community. His support was a major encouragement and a sign of the Lord’s favor.
Back at the hotel, our team transitioned to training and strategic planning. This included role-playing follow-up visit scenarios based on Mark’s Gospel. I got to play the role of the filter recipient and our missionaries practiced sharing their faith and walking someone toward a decision. Their boldness and clarity in sharing the Gospel were inspiring.
We also walked through the final plans for completing Sirende Ward and outlined our vision for Matisi. It’s powerful to see how the Lord is guiding every step.
To close out our evening, we had beautiful lesson the Lord’s Supper, discussing its significance and giving our team the opportunity to take Communion together. It was a moment of reverence, unity, and reflection. We then shared a delicious Kenyan meal together, laughing, fellowshipping, and celebrating the day’s victories.
Today reminded me that ministry isn’t just about events or numbers—it’s about people, presence, and purpose. And despite a rocky start, the Lord made a way for this to be a day filled with growth, worship, and hope.
