A Morning Filled with Praise and Worship
Today was one of those days that reminds us why we do what we do. Our morning began in the best way possible with praise and worship. All the singing was a cappella, and as the voices filled the small church, it felt like a glimpse of heaven itself.
During the service, our Kenya team gathered around me in a circle and prayed over me for God’s blessing on my life, family, and leadership with The Filter Project. I was deeply moved and honored by their love and encouragement.

The sermon was delivered by Joshua, our Director of Kenya Media and Filter Kids. His message, “Kingdom Capacity Building: Strength for Kingdom Assignment,” was grounded in Matthew 25:15, a reminder that each of us has been entrusted with resources and responsibilities to advance God’s Kingdom.

A Visit from a “Business on Mission” Partner
We were thrilled to have Mark Allen, CEO of Mid-South Perfect Pools from Memphis, join us today. Mark’s company is one of our amazing “Business on Mission” partners. For every pool he installs, he sponsors ten water filters. This partnership is not only changing lives in Kenya, but it is also inspiring other business owners to see their work as ministry.
Distributing Hope and Clean Water
After our morning worship, we walked a long distance through rural paths to meet new filter recipients We invited 40 families who were eagerly awaiting the opportunity for clean water and a Gospel encounter. Their joy and gratitude were overwhelming, with each ticket representing both physical and spiritual transformation to come.
Tragedy, Faith, and New Life in Christ
Later, we traveled with Mercy and joined the missionary team of Walter and Ester for follow-ups. The area we visited had recently experienced flooding from a nearby river, which tragically took the lives of five people as they slept.

During another visit, we met Carlos, the brother of a previous recipient. As we spoke, Walter shared the message of salvation through faith in Jesus. Carlos confessed that he was a sinner and didn’t know what salvation meant but after hearing the Gospel, he prayed to accept Christ! He’ll be baptized tomorrow, a powerful symbol of new life in Him.
Joan’s Story: From Works to Grace
Next, we visited Joan, a grandmother who wasn’t able to attend previous follow-up visits with our team. Her grandson had been attending in her place, but today she learned firsthand how to clean and care for her filter. They hadn’t been back flushing the filter – which is a critical step. She was earnest in her willingness to learn and maintain the filter so that it delivers optimal results.
When asked if she knew where she would go if she died today, Joan said she hoped her good works outweighed her bad. We shared Ephesians 2:8–10 with her and explained that salvation is not by works but by faith in Christ alone. With tears in her eyes, she prayed to receive Jesus as her Savior and will also be baptized tomorrow.
Andrew’s Tears and Transformation
In the afternoon, we joined another missionary team already conducting follow-ups. While visiting a woman who had previously received a filter, her father Andrew entered the room. As the missionaries shared about God’s love, Andrew began to weep uncontrollably.
He later shared that no one had ever visited him before to speak about God. Though raised Catholic, he had never truly understood what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus. Both Andrew and his daughter prayed to receive Christ and will be baptized tomorrow.
It was a beautiful reminder that the Holy Spirit moves across generations — touching hearts young and old alike.

Final Reflections
Today, heaven rejoiced as multiple people crossed from death to life — all through simple acts of obedience, clean water, and the Good News of Jesus Christ.
What a day to witness God’s Kingdom expanding one family, one filter, one soul at a time.
